This article is all about Superbowl party ideas. A Superbowl party is one of those parties that are totally about the guys. Everything, from the invitations to the decorations to the food, has got to be manly!
You can invite people who are only fans of the team you favor, or you can invite a good mix for some (hopefully cheerful) debating and competition. Your invitations can indicate whether you favor one team over the other or they can be more generic, like these, or these.
Superbowl party decorating doesn’t have to be complex, but having balloons and streamers in team colors is a great way to make the party festive while not being too distracting from the game.
Superbowl party ideas for serving food include football themed dinnerware and referee striped napkins. Because the food is generally snack-style eat with your fingers stuff, paper plates and plastic cups are perfectly fine. Check out Shindigz for some great Superbowl party ideas for decorating.
You could even get some life-size cutouts of favorite players from past Superbowls!
Another idea, if the weather cooperates, is to create your own tailgating party in your driveway. You could even grill hot dogs and hamburgers, and set the TV up in the garage or even in the yard.
As far as food, the main entrée at my parties is always a big pot of chili. I have rice and biscuits to eat with it, and sometimes corn bread too. Then, I’ll have a bunch of appetizers like pigs in a blanket, wings (with various flavors), potato skins, and for those a bit more health-minded, a veggie tray and/or salad along with some cold-cut wraps. In other words, sports bar type food. Another big favorite food for Superbowl parties is pizza.
As far as drinks, beer is popular, but always have lots of non-alcoholic drinks on hand for the designated drivers as well as any underagers attending. Various sodas, tea, lemonade, and coffee drinks always work.
You can get some or all of your Superbowl party food delivered directly from Safeway.
Here are even some Superbowl party ideas for the non-football fans. Those who come because they are with a football fan, but aren’t much of one themselves, can hang out in a separate room (even if just the kitchen) to watch the Puppy Bowl or another program or movie. You could have a card game for the non-football fans.
However you plan your Superbowl party, it will definitely be a great time!
