No party would be complete without party decoration ideas! How you decorate, of course, will be dictated by the theme or type of party you are having. However, these ideas are appropriate for almost any party:

Balloons: You can use balloons to tie on chairs or to tie in bunches at the end of streamers, or helium filled with long ribbons around the room (this is one of my favorites). One idea is to have large bunches or individual balloons. You can have large balloons or small, all kinds of colors and even all kinds of shapes.

Streamers: Streamers (or something that drapes the walls) are practically a requirement for a party decoration idea! There are traditional paper streamers in every color imaginable (not to mention all kinds of patterns), and there are also drapes, garlands, wall murals, and other interesting materials that can be hung for party decoration ideas too. Your theme (if you have one) will dictate what kinds of stuff to hang up.

Signs/Banners: A nice decoration is a banner announcing the event is always nice, and theme-related signs can be used as functional decorations (e.g., a sign for your Jungle Party that says "Watering Hole" can show where the drinks are).

Table Centerpieces: If you are having an elegant party, simple flowers are lovely. You can also have themed centerpieces, balloons, paper shapes, etc. for your party decoration idea centerpiece.

Decorations that fit the specific type or theme of the party. For example, Halloween ideas could include glow in the dark skeletons, cobwebs in the corners, and other scary stuff; a Las Vegas (or Casino) party could have felt tables for dealing, slot machine signs, poker chips and cards, and other gambling stuff; and a luau could have inflatable or lighted palm trees, a limbo setup, and tropical fruit/exotic flower displays.
